Innovative Solutions
At Cubic, we love to solve problems and help passengers pay their fares quickly and safely. We continually strive for innovation and improvement in overall user experience through faster fare payment and efficient information management. Our track record in the revenue management business is built on our commitment to delivering innovative, open and customer-focused solutions.
Cubic pioneered magnetic ticketing in the early 1970s, and was first to introduce contactless smart cards to transit in the late 1980s. We introduced the first large-scale deployment of smart cards in transit, and today Cubic has successfully delivered complete multi-modal smart card systems that are operational in many of the world's major cities.
Our integrated systems include for fare payment and revenue control, card distribution/vending, data communications, and information management. We also provide a full complement of operational and professional services, such as enterprise system hosting and operations, financial clearing and settlement, card fulfillment, card distribution, and marketing.
Through continuous innovation, we have become market leaders in revenue management equipment, transit network infrastructure, payment applications and enterprise systems software and services. Our comprehensive strength in the provision of end-to-end systems and services allows us to provide solutions with optimal efficiency.
Our system innovations include open and modular enterprise and device system architectures, autoload, electronic transit benefits, web ticketing, point-of-sale ticketing and multi-agency clearing and settlement. Inherent are improvements in security and emerging technologies to promote an open systems strategy both in fare payment choices and in communications.
Many of our most complex integrated ticketing and revenue management software systems are connecting multiple independent transit operators in a single region or across regions, including London, New York, Brisbane, Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area and Southern Sweden. Based on our open and modular architecture, our systems handle intermodal, multi-agency electronic ticketing as well as the needs of a single transit agency. This approach allows for newly delivered systems to link with those of other agencies and for legacy systems to participate in a managed migration to current technology and standards compliance.
Delivering end-to-end systems and services based on innovation, scalability and the flexibility to grow with changing requirements and emerging technology is what Cubic does best.
