Richard Rowlands
Engineering Director

Richard Rowlands has been engineering director since 2006 and has overall responsibility for all engineering teams in the UK including software, electrical, mechanical and systems.

After joining the company’s US headquarters in 1982, he worked on various projects in North America in development and engineering management roles, including New York City Transit, Washington, DC, and Chicago before moving back to the UK in 1997. Richard then worked on the Oyster Card PRESTIGE project in London from the beginning in 1998.

Richard received his bachelor's degree with honours in engineering science from the University of Reading, UK.
